1. How much will it cost to tint my Windows?

The cost varies by the Car, as no Vehicle is the same. The best way to get a quote for your specific Vehicle is to contact Bear Tintz directly.

2. Can I clean my car after the job?

Yes you can straight away, but leave the inside Glass for 3 days after installation.

3. Can I open my windows straight after installation?

Yes you can as windows are fully bonded, but Bear Tintz do recommend leaving it for 48hours just for your own reassurance. Bear Tintz installers, heat the Windows enough, and test that it can go up and down once the job is finished.

4. How do I clean my tinted windows after tint is applied?

You can clean it as normal, but Bear Tintz do recommend using a clean micro fibre cloth and a normal Glass cleaner. The Glass cleaner should specify if it can’t be used on film as long as the cleaner doesn’t contain ammonia it should be fine.

5. Do I have to clean my windows before installation?

This is unnecessary as Bear Tintz do all the cleaning before we carry out the job, but notification is needed if previous tints have been on your Vehicle or if you have removed a sticker, as this can leave glue marks once the tint is applied. There may be an extra charge depending on the amount of glue and how hard it is to remove from the glass.

6. Are there any precautions I need to take to ensure my film stays looking good?

Treat your tints as if it was your Car body paint, it’s as simple as that.

7. Can I use my heaters inside the car after tint is applied?

Heaters help the tint to dry so they are good to use. But do not use your back heating strips straight after the tint is applied. It is recommended to keep them off for 3-5 days as this can cause it to bubble around the lines but once the tint is dry they are fine to use and will not effect the tint.

8. I have seen pre-cut tints and videos for do it yourself and save money? Can I do it myself?

Tinting Windows professionally takes years of experience, so it is not recommended that you do it yourself as it may end up costing you more to get it redone by a professional if it turns out wrong or you may leave you Vehicle looking terrible.

9. Do you take out the Glass?

Bear Tintz do not take out glass. Bear Tintz can tint Cars 100% professionally without having to do so. Other Companies are trained to do it that way as that may just be their preferred way to carry out the job. Some Companies claim to take out windows, but they usually work behind closed doors with Customers not being allowed to watch. So whether they do the things they say they do or not… Who knows??

10. What is the legal limit for Tinting a Vehicle?

The rules on tinted windows don’t apply to the rear windscreen or the rear passenger windows. Drivers and Passengers must have 70% light going through the front side windows and the windscreen allows a 6inch sun strip but is not allowed to be tinted.

11. I have had a much higher quote than you Guys?

People are very weary when is comes to affordable inexpensive Companies especially when it is a case of another company charging them much higher. Here are a couple of things to consider.

  • Bigger Companies have more over heads and this is costly for them meaning they have to charge you their expenses. Their over heads could be things such as

  • Advertising Agencies - due to the fact they have premises in several areas so they have to advertise more.

  • They are locked into contracts with a certain tint Manufacturer and have to buy a big batch to provide for all of their Company Premises.

  • They have to rent out Premises, where as we are a Mobile Service that comes to you, so all we pay for is Car expenses.

 12. Why do I see purple blue or green tints on other Vehicle?

This is most likely due to a fade of a previous tint. Low quality film means discolour. Which some companies don’t cover you against.

13. How long does the Car take to tint?

Bear Tintz look to complete their jobs in a minimum of two hours just so quality is the highest it can be, some Companies say speedy jobs and take 1-2 hours but to get the best out of installations we take extra time for finishing touches always aiming for perfection.

14. Will there be any gaps?

No the Glass will be fully covered some Companies leave 1cm gaps at the top edge of the Glass but Bear Tintz do not do this.

15. Other Companies say that it is not possible to tint cars to a high standard out in the open?

The best question to ask yourself is “Why would a indoor company tell you that a Mobile Company is good?” They wouldn’t! Because they know that means they will lose Customers, because you would most likely, rather have a Company that comes to you at your Work or Home, so they tell you that it is not good to use Mobile Companies when in fact Bear Tintz can provide you with a job, just as good if not better without working in a Premises.

16. Can tints be removed after installation?

Yes, but in order to get it removed correctly it is recommended to get it done professionally, but it is possible to do it yourself.

17.  I have my own film can you put this on my car?

Normally when Customers buy their own film they buy it from eBay or a Shop that doesn’t specialise in window film. This is a problem as Bear Tintz specialises in using high quality film, so cheap film fades and discolours very quickly so Bear Tintz would not recommend buying film for professional Comapny use in order to get a lower price, as it may end up being a waste of money.
